The Steinway
In 1978, Miles and Frances Andrews gave their 1922 Steinway piano to First Presbyterian. It resided in the Fellowship Hall until 2000, when the late music director Bill Johnson recognized its worth. With the help of numerous donors, the instrument was restored in 2001. The William E. Johnson trust underwrote the campaign to continue work on the instrument, including routine cleaning, maintaining the delicate action, and providing a Steinway cover.
